Cafe Flora..Never Gets Old

This is a place for anybody who wants be amazed with how much creativeness can be in vegetarian food.

While I am writing this post, it is the coldest time of last many years in Seattle according to news. In fact, whole hill that I am living on, was covered up with ice this morning, so I couldn’t go to work (Voila!). How funny I love cooking, baking, eating, and cooking, baking and eating again and I could live the best life forever, although sometimes it is hard to work as a professional cook. So, I get happy when I stay home, which exactly give me more time to cook, which is the exact same thing I do in work. What a conflicted mind.. I agree. I guess, it has to do with what I imagine for my life and for my future, even though I am very scared with that image. So,I know if I am at home I will do at least one thing for my dreams. That’s why I like being at home.

Anyway, the main idea of this post is, I really want to start sharing about places I like so you guys see it is very possible to have a wonderful life as being vegetarian. My first and always be first favorite vegetarian spot on my list in Seattle; Cafe Flora. Honestly, it is more like a brunch place for me since I only go for brunch, but they have such a great menu for dining and in fact they got award on being one of the best gluten free dining place in Seattle couple years ago because they have lots of gluten free options as well.

I love this place a lot. Firstly because it is vegetarian! You see, completely vegetarian or vegan places are whole different game for people like me. Why? Because, I feel so safe and I know the people who created that place share common value with me and so they respect my choices. Honestly, sometimes it is hard for other people to understand how you eat or how you live your life with the choices you make, because those people have their own reasons to not care about what you care. And food can be one of the very first thing in this list.

I guess, exactly for all those reasons, couple beautiful people created Cafe Flora, community based vegetarian restaurant. Menu can change with season but they also have some classics special to them that you could always find in their menu. Some vegetarian burgers, pizza with local ingredients, or like always my favorite eggs with  country gravy, vegan biscuits and gravy. Ah me and my husband go nuts in this place like all the other places we like. Ok, I go little  crazier than him. The burger in the picture, I am not gonna tell when I took that picture but it has been a while so they might not have that in the menu but heyy! they have “Italian burger” with black bean and pesto now, ay ay ay, sounds yummy! Hence, I would highly recommend to visit them for a weekend brunch, it is going to be crowded but so worth!

Well, if you can not make it to Cafe Flora, since you have to leave Seattle soon and fly somewhere else, they have another place, guess where? at the airport!  If you want to grab some good food and coffee before your flight, this is the place! Please grab something anything before your flight, from “Floret”. You will be thanking me for it, and you are welcome in advance. Well, just look for the “Floret by Cafe Flora” in any maps in Seattle Tacoma Airport. For those who want to visit Cafe Flora; they are in Madison, here is the whole address;

Cafe Flora

2901 E Madison St, Seattle,

WA 98112

Why I am writing this post, well, I kinda explained it above. I just want to honor places, people, anything I like because I value common things with them. I hope you enjoy your weekend with vegetarian brunch!

ps: What an irony, I didn’t take the picture of it, but they have a garden like a sun room section , which I love eating in that part!
